THE REPORT
Finance-speak, human-speak
Earnings filings are written in a dialect. The RainingMoney Report translates that dialect so you can read what the company actually said, without pretending the filing is simpler than it is.
How we use this page
Each report decoder can tap a term in the filing language and show the human-speak next to it. This page is the standing phrasebook those taps point back to.
What we will not do
We do not invent figures. If a line is not in the filing, it is not on the decoder. Direction marks (up, down, steady) are editorial readings of whether the story got better for a reader — a smaller debt figure can be marked as an improvement.
Not advice
None of this is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a security. Read the filing. Read the decoder. Make your own decision, or ask a licensed adviser.
