This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage RainingMoney uses on therainingmoney.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and similar storage?
Cookies are small text files a site or its partners can store on your device. Similar technologies include local storage in your browser. We use the word “cookies” here to cover both.
What we use today
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people read RainingMoney and which stories they read. We set one necessary preference ourselves, and Google Analytics sets the cookies below unless you choose Decline non-essential on the cookie banner:

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver the site securely (for example to protect against abuse). Those are not used to advertise to you.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics (from Google) loads on the public site, not on our staff tools. It counts every visit from the first page you open and may set the cookies listed above. If you choose Decline non-essential, it stops using cookies for you and runs in a cookieless mode: it can still note that a page was opened, without storing anything on your device. It reports to us in totals, such as how many people read a story, which pages they came from, their country and their type of device. We do not send Google your name or email, and we have not turned on Google’s advertising features in Analytics. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The public site has no colour-scheme switch, and we do not use any other audience-measurement tag (such as Meta Pixel).
Advertising cookies (not active yet)
Display advertising is not live on this site today. If Google AdSense is approved and we turn ads on, Google and its partners may then set cookies to:
- Serve and measure ads on this site
- Limit how often you see an ad
- Show more relevant ads based on your activity on this site and other sites (personalized ads), where you have consented and the law allows
Google is the advertising partner. Cookie names and durations for AdSense are set by Google, not by us. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, Google also requires a certified consent management platform before personalized ads; we will not serve those personalized ads into those regions until that is in place.

Your choices
The banner on this site lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Declining keeps the essential preference above, switches Google Analytics to its cookieless mode and does not enable advertising cookies. To change your choice later, clear stored data for this site and the banner will ask again. You can also delete stored data for this site in your browser settings. Blocking all storage may mean the banner reappears on each visit.
If ads become active, you can opt out of personalized Google advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also use industry opt-outs such as the Digital Advertising Alliance and, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
